Pauli began her professional culinary career in 1975, opening Pauli’s Café in San Francisco.  Pauli brings many years of experience in fine California cuisine into her cookbook, Primal Cuisine, Cooking for The Paleo Diet. Her focus on fine food, lovingly prepared, is coupled with the paleo diet and the knowledge that the foods of our ancestors, which included wild meat and fish, foraged plants, nuts, seeds and berries, were the foods we humans evolved on and are the still basic building blocks of optimum physical and mental health.  In Primal Cuisine, Pauli discusses how adopting the paleo diet has helped her overcome many years of debilitating health issues.  Pauli further educates on the topics of what modern foods best replicate the paleo diet, the dangers of GMO’s, gluten and casein intolerance, and how our food choices impact the environment.
