 Dr. Gaither points out that city life can be very demanding, and that certain nutrient deficiencies can be more common among city dwellers and can lead to an increase in depression, colds and flu, preterm births, cardiovascular issues, anemia or even brittle hair and dry skin. She suggests testing for nutrient levels, including Vitamin D and Omega 3, should be within standards of practice.
