The Natural Nurse And Dr. Z -Your Brain on Plants

Nicolette Perry has a PhD in pharmacognosy from King’s College London and has researched and published on medicinal plants for the brain. Her research into sage for Alzheimer’s disease triggered a move to research central nervous system plants at Newcastle University. Her long-term interest, beginning with a degree in biology on health and disease, is in the science behind the use of plants for health, with a particular focus on aromatic plants for the brain. She is director of Dilston Physic Garden, a nonprofit established for education in medicinal plants, where she runs workshops, organizes talks on plants for health, and teaches on the Foundation in Plant Medicine. She is keen to convey the science behind plants as herbal medicines, particularly for their preventative role and as an adjunct to mainstream medicine.
